Ellen Evert Hopman ~ Anam Chara
(Ah-num Hah-ruh) Ancient Celtic Soul-Friend Counseling
"A person without a Soul-Friend is like a body without a head"
~ traditional Irish saying
A system of Celtic spiritual counseling based on ancient tree and Fairy lore, Anam Chara addresses life issues by consulting the wisdom of the trees, using a two thousand year old system of Druid wisdom. Anam Chara says that every tree carries within it a Spirit that can guide and shape a life, teaching the way to balance between the worlds of Land, Sea and Sky.
Anam Chara is about spiritual growth;
According to the Druids, each person's life is governed by the position of three internal Cauldrons; the Cauldron of Incubation (in the belly), the Cauldron of Motion (in the heart) and the Cauldron of Wisdom (in the head) and each of these Cauldron's must be turned by joy and sorrow to fully realize a Soul's purpose;
"... The Gods do not apportion the same to everyone
tipped, inverted, right-side-up;
no knowledge, half-knowledge, full-knowledge...
What then is the root of poetry and every other wisdom? Not hard; three
cauldrons are born in every person, i.e., the Cauldron of Incubation, the
Cauldron of Motion and the Cauldron of Wisdom.
The Cauldron of Incubation is born upright in a person from the beginning.
It distributes wisdom to people in their youth.
The Cauldron of Motion, however, after turning increases. That is to say it
is born tipped on its side in a person.
The Cauldron of Wisdom is born on its lips (upside-down) and it distributes
wisdom in every art besides (in addition to) poetry..."
From "The Cauldron of Poesy", an ancient Bardic poem composed by the Druid Amhairghin (Birth of Song) Glúingeal (White Knee).
