Global Revolution Is Happening

An international movement is happening. The World is changing and the face of this change of America is called the Occupy Movement. Presently, there are 1700 global cities with occupy movements. Northampton, Amherst and Boston are some of the local centers. Saturday, October 15th is "Global Revolution Day" with events planned in 82 countries.

If you care about the economy, the wars, the environment, or your fellow human, then you need to learn more about the Occupy Movement. This is not a liberal, conservative, or other political agenda issue. All of us together are constantly affected.

Add your voice to the global resistance of greed and corruption.

What is the Occupy Movement?

The Occupy Movement supports verifiable honesty and integrity in our government, especially with regard to corporate influence.

Over 300,000,000 Americans (99%) are disadvantaged by a political and economic system that continues to concentrate power and wealth toward less than 1% of the US population. The extent and magnitude of corporate influence in our media, politics, and government is astonishing. The impact is global.

Our governing system is broken. We the People have lost our right to self-govern. As a result, the Corporate Powers-That-Be make unchecked decisions that are short-sighted, environmentally insensitive, and with little regard for human rights.

A form of peaceful, transitional revolution is required to unseat the Corporate 1%. The system itself must change, as well as the motivation of our politicians. Only then can the needs of the 99% begin to be met. Giving power to the people, this was the idea that our “founding fathers” had. But we do not fight the tyranny of a king, we denounce the tyranny of corporate greed.

Individually, we have ideological differences. But collectively, we seek to end rampant corruption. We do not want the corporations to close. We want them out of our government. We do not want anarchy. We want effective democracy.

Why Now?

For the first time in Human history, we have the global ability to talk to each other. The channels of the Internet have opened communication across towns, states, nations, and continents. This is why the Common Human Voice is being heard in a historic manner.

You are not alone in your belief that the system is broken. You are also not alone in your ability to fix the system.

How can you participate?

  • Local information at Occupy Northampton and Occupy Amherst on Facebook.
  • Show up at any street rally, General Assembly, or camping site. Your simple presence will inspire.
  • Talk to friends, family, & co-workers about corporate control and its affects on 99% of us.
  • Consolidate support by posting on social media.
  • Volunteer your time and skills, or donate listed materials. We are growing and need help!

How Does it Work?

Occupy groups are organized by local General Assemblies in which we invite you to participate and hear what your fellow 99% are voicing.
